Today's control system or control device is bigger and bigger,the complexity is more and more,the integration is deeper and deeper.As a result,the system have a higher requirements to the performance indicators such as the data transmission quantity,the real-time transmission,transmission distance The traditional fieldbus technology has been unable to meet these requirements,based on this,the international automation manufacturers put forward their own new generation of fieldbus technology solutions.Among them,the EtherCAT technology scheme is favored by users because of its good real-time,simple use,compatibility with ethernet technology and flexible topology.This paper sets up the EtherCAT network to test the EtherCAT slave and the network's performance.This paper starting from the application background of the current control system,expounds the necessity of introducing industrial ethernet technology,introduces several mainstream industrial ethernet technologies,and analyzes the advantages of EtherCAT technology.Then,this paper deeply studies the system composition of ethercat,message addressing and communication service,topology,distributed clock,communication mode,state machine,application layer protocol and so on.Finally,the hardware implements the EtherCAT from the station based on the et1100 chip,and the software designs the underlying driver code from the idea of stratification,the middle EtherCAT protocol stack and the upper layer application software,completes the whole ethercat network construction,and tests the basic function,real-time and reliability of the slave station.
