An Analysis Of The Influence Of Antidumping On Enterprise Performance

As a means of trade protection,anti-dumping is being used by more and more countries due to its nominal rationality.Naturally,China as the largest exporter in the world has become the victim of anti-dumping.The study of anti-dumping has always been a hot topic in academic research.However,with the development of trade practice and trade theory,trade research based on enterprise level has become a new trend.From this background,this paper studies the impact of anti-dumping on Chinese exporters from the perspective of enterprise performance.This article first reviews the related research achievements in the field of anti-dumping,and introduces the concept of anti-dumping,and then under the guidance of signal transmission theory and strategic trade theory,combining theoretical analysis with case study,take the anti-dumping case of the United States against Chinese crystalline silicon photo-voltaic products as an example to explore the impact of the initiation of antidumping investigation on the performance of Dongxu Optoelectronic,a listed company.Event study methodology is used to calculate the shortterm and long-term market performance before and after the initiation of anti-dumping notice,and then financial statement analysis method is used to analyze the long-term financial performance changes.Through case analysis,it is concluded that the initiation of anti-dumping investigation will have a negative impact on enterprises,mainly manifested in the fluctuations of their stock market and changes in financial indicators.Finally,this paper tries to put forward some suggestions for photo-voltaic enterprise on how to deal with anti-dumping.The research of this paper can provide certain reference value for the new research direction of anti-dumping from the perspective of enterprise performance,and also provide certain theoretical support for enterprises to actively respond to anti-dumping and find the advantages from the disadvantages.
