Photoelectric seeker can complete tasks such as real-time image acquisition and processing,target monitoring and tracking,and it is widely used in civil and military fields such as marine monitoring,visual navigation,precision guidance systems,etc.This paper designs an image compression and target tracking module based on the needs of related topics.As a main component of the mini photoelectric seeker,the module needs to complete precise control of infrared camera,visible light camera and servo,real-time acquisition,compression and transmission of infrared and visible light images,real-time tracking of infrared and visible image targets.At the same time,it communicates with the flight control navigation system and the airborne data terminal.It first introduces the background and significance of the research,as well as the research and development status of image compression and target tracking technology at home and abroad.Secondly,the subject needs are analyzed.In response to the technical requirements of the project,there are three mainstream solutions:FPGA and DSP-based solutions,embedded GPU-based solutions,and embedded SOC-based solutions.Combining the advantages and disadvantages of current solutions with the high performance,low cost,low power consumption and small size design requirements of this system,this paper proposes the overall scheme design with XC7Z030 and Hi3516A SOC as the core.Then,it carries out the overall design of the hardware platform,and divides it into six parts:power module,image input and acquisition,image storage and transmission,target tracking,image compression and image decoding.The design and test process of each part of the hardware circuit are introduced in detail,and the test results are briefly analyzed to verify the correctness of the hardware platform design.The system software function is designed according to the functional requirements of the subject and the characteristics of the hardware platform.The system software is divided into seven parts,and six of it is introduced in detail,such as master control software,image acquisition software,image storage software,image transmission software,image compression software and image decoding software.At the same time,the software of each part is tested and analyzed based on the hardware platform.Then,this paper designs the target tracking software in the system.By analyzing the system usage scenarios and hardware platform resources,this paper proposes a target tracking algorithm based on improved Kalman filter and template matching.At the same time,it combines ARM NEON technology to realize and optimize the target tracking algorithm.Finally,the content of this paper is summarized.Aside from the design requirements of the project,combined with the current technological development process,an improved solution is proposed for the implementation of some modules in the system.The SOC-based image compression and target tracking module designed in this paper has the characteristics of low power consumption and high performance.It enables real-time and parallel acquisition,storage and transmission of visible and infrared images up to1920*1080 pixels.The system also supports both H.264 and H.265 compression coding standards,and the coding performance is controllable.And an anti-occlusion design is added to the target tracking algorithm to achieve real-time,stable and continuous tracking of the target.The overall power consumption of the hardware platform is about 5W,and the peak power consumption is only 5.5W.The weight of the hardware platform is only41.8g,the surface area is only 133cm~2,and the thickest part of the board is no more than8mm.The overall design of the system is ideal for mini seekers.
