The international status quo is in a period of rapid change and adjustment, and the game among countries is becoming increasingly obvious. The G20 summit in Argentina was held under the background of the global trade war,the most striking of which is the Sino-US trade war.The top leaders of China and the United States will hold their first meeting at the upcoming G20 summit since the trade war.The media around the world is paying close attention to it and takes the opportunity to observe the development of Sino-US interaction and their future relations. With the development of mass media, its role in shaping public perception has become increasingly significant. The research on agenda setting theory continues to pay attention to what the public thinks about, how to think, and how to connect the elements, which is essential to the study on the standing or opinions of media. The study is different from the mainstream ones which includes the public agenda and focuses more on the transfer of the salience.Under the guidance of the third-level agenda setting theory, the author analyzes the degree centrality and the core-periphery structures of the media agendas on G20 and the attribute agendas on the Sino-US trade war.According to the study, there are commons as well as characteristics in reporting from different countries. The media agenda reflects the role of the G20 summit as diplomatic occasion and shows a difficult process to reach consensus. The development of Sino-US economic relations attracts much attention. The reporting is negative on the impact and wishes China and the United States have a productive talk.Given that the exploration on the third-level agenda setting is an emerging field of study,it is suggested that more practices should be taken on various topics under diverse cultural contexts in further studies.
