Deployable antennas are of much importance for satel ite communication and broadcasting systems,earth observation,space exploration and other applications.Solid surface deployable antennas(SSDA)have high precision,good stiffness,strength and stable structures.This paper aims at designing a new kind of SSDA,analyzing its mechanica l properties under gravity and harmonic loads and optimizing it.The main contents of this paper are below:1.Gives the general process of dividing the precision of the antenna reflectors and the general formulae of the dividing parameters.Obtain the final dividing results by these formulae and the given data.Then proposes a new deploying theory and a new deploying application is designed based on it.Then begin the detail process of designing the antenna,including the designing of the backup structure,packaging mechanism,bundling device,base,locking device.Finally,the total 3D model is set up by using Solidworks software.2.Make a kinematic analysis and speed planning for the deployment to prevent its shock.Analyze the interference and collision in the process of folding,draw the space of the panel backup structure,and get the ranges of the values of the three design variables to be used in the following chapters.3.The finite element models of the deployed state and the folded state of the antenna are established respectively with ANSYS software.Static analysis and modal analysis are carried out for the deployed antenna.Modal analysis and simple harmonic vibration analysis are carried out for the folded antenna.The results of finite element analysis are compared with the corresponding designing indexes to determine whether the design meets the requirements.4.Establish the optimization model of the antenna,use the ANSYS software for the first optimization analysis to obtain the optimal model,and improve the deficiencies of the model,and then further optimize the improved model and obtain final optimal model.In this paper,the geometric model of antenna is established and the interference and collis io n in the process of folding are successfully dealt with.After the finite element analysis,it is concluded that the model is too heavy to meet the designing indexes.After the optimized design,the mass of the model is greatly reduced,and the structural strength and stiffness are significantly improved,which meet the designing indexes.After the improved antenna is optimized,the quality of the antenna is further reduced under the condition that the design index is satisfied.
