Dropping pills,as a special additive,are widely used in food,medical,tobacco and other industries.On-line measurement of the geometric parameters of dropping pills is of great significance for improving the quality of dropping pills.Binocular stereo vision measurement technology,as a kind of non-contact measurement method,has the advantages of high measurement accuracy,strong real-time performance and depth perception.This paper applied the measurement technology based on binocular stereo vision to the on-line measurement of the geometric parameters of dropping pills,and carried out a series of researches.According to the characteristics of the movement in the shaping tube filled with paraffin oil during the production process of the dropping pills,the refractive imaging model of the dropping pills is established.Moreover,the refractive correction method of the refractive imaging model is studied in depth,including the refractive index calibration based on the optical path method,the approximate processing based on the refractive imaging model,and the radial high-order distortion correction.Combined with the characteristic structure of the dropping pills,the basic theory of on-line measurement of the geometric parameters of the dropping pills based on binocular stereo vision is introduced.In this paper,the relevant algorithms of image processing and feature recognition of dropping pills are studied,and an efficient extraction method of dropping pill's contour curve is designed.Firstly,the median filtering and homomorphic filtering are used to denoising and enhance the image of the dropping pill;then obtained the accurate contour curve of the dropping pill,based on the local self-adaptive threshold segmentation algorithm and the foreground extraction algorithm of the image of dropping pill by the morphological operation.According to the measurement requirements of the geometric parameters of the dropping pills,the on-line measurement experiment system of geometric parameters for the dropping pill was designed,and the functions of system calibration,image acquisition,image processing,contour fitting and geometric parameter measurement were realized.The static and dynamic on-line measurement experiments of the dropping pills is carried out on the established on-line measurement experiment system of the dropping pills geometric parameters,which verified the stability and accuracy of the system.The on-line measurement system compensates for the lack of efficiency and accuracy of the traditional measurement method,by real-time measurement of geometric parameters of the dropping pills in the production process.This provides an effective means of testing the quality parameters of the dropping pills for the intelligent transformation of the followup production system.
