In practical production,some output variables like liquid level and temperature with small amplitude fluctuation only need to satisfy a certain interval,in this case a zone control is suitable: when the output variable situate in desired zone which the controller without action,this control is equal to an open loop control;if the output variable deviated away from the zone,zone control will take the corresponding action to return it back quickly.In EMPC,the economic criterion is used as the stage cost,and the economic performance of the controlled plant can be improved,and therefore the final steady state under EMPC may be different from the set point slightly.In view of the advantages and disadvantages of the two control strategies,the novel strategy is to combine them,the system can be driven to a target set,while at the same time,the economic performance can be improved.The first part of this paper,an overview of the recent results on EMPC is presented and discussed addressing both closed-loop stability and performance for nonlinear systems.This review discusses three forms and the possible future research directions are classified.This review will fill the blank of the domestic research on EMPC,cause the interest and provide a convenient for the next step of research to scholars.In the view of the advantages and disadvantages of EMPC and zone control,a new control algorithm to slice the predictive horizon to emerge EMPC and zone control,named PHSC.PHSC have the advantages of the anti-interference ability from zone control and improve the economic performance of the process within range from economic cost,this strategy can avoid their shortcomings at the same time.Stability analysis is provided and a simulation experiment using CSTR is given to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.Buildings all around the world consume a significant amount of energy,which is more or less one-third of the total primary energy resources,and theair conditioning is the module with the most energy consumption.So in this part,PHSC will used in ACB air conditioning system,after modeling,linearization and designing PHSC,the simulation results will compared with zone control,the results show that PHSC has ability to resist disturbances as zone control and outstanding economic performance.The results show that the PHSC can contribute to saving energy and improving the comfort of residents.
