With the development of wireless communication technology,there are higher requirements for wireless communication equipment.RF receiver is the front of communication system,which plays an important role in the system.Due to the characteristics of the six-port network,including flexible design,simple structure and high linearity,the six-port technology was used into the receiver,In the 1990 s.Thus,the receiver could be designed with high frequency,wide bandwidth,multi-channel,multifunction and multi-standard compatibility.Because of its unique natural advantages,sixport receiver technology has been rapidly developed in the following decades and has been applied to more communication fields.This paper aims to design an UWB homodyne receiver based on the six-port technology,and the main work studies the direction finding of the six-port receiver.The work includes:Firstly,the beginning work is that investigates the development of six-port network and six-port receiver,and simple talk about t the six-port technology and receiver technology.Secondly,the six-port technology is introduced from the application and theory of the six-port network.The theory includes the analysis of six-port network,and the application mainly state analysis of some typical examples.Then,it is detailed to introduce the theory of six-port receiver,including the analysis of frequency conversion,the theory of the detector,and the theory of direction finding.Finally,using classical example illustrates the application of the six-port receiver and its advantages.At the end of the paper,the main work is introducing to the design of an UWB sixport direction-finding frequency conversion receiver and giving the test result in the project.In the end,the paper summarizes the problems during the project and gives the future aim.
