Research On Automatic Orchestration Mechanism Of Service Function Chaining

In recent years,the development of both network function virtualization technology and software-defined network technology makes the deployment of service function chaining more flexible and convenient.However,due to the dynamic characteristics of users' demands and underlying resources,an orchestration mechanism that can automatically form the ordered chains including such network functions is required to process users' requests.In view of the scarcity of complete implementation schemes of the automatic orchestration architecture of service function chaining,and the lack of consideration of automatic adjustment schemes for service function chaining in the existing research on orchestration mechanism,this thesis studies the automatic orchestration mechanism of the service function chaining from the perspectives of both the automatic orchestration architecture of service function chaining and the automatic adjustment scheme for service function chaining based on QoS guarantee.The main work is as follows:(1)The related concepts and technologies on service function chaining are summarized,and several existing networking service orchestration architectures are analyzed and compared.On this basis,the automatic orchestration architecture of service function chaining is designed.The design and implementation of virtualization infrastructure management module,service function chaining deployment module,service function chaining QoS acquisition module and service function chaining orchestration management module in this architecture are given respectively.After verification,the architecture achieves the goal of complete life cycle management of service function chaining,and can provide automatic orchestration services of service function chaining.(2)Both the information of underlying resources and the QoS of service function chaining are defined,and then the relationship between the QoS of service function chaining and the information of underlying resources is established.The QoS acquisition scheme of service function chaining is designed and implemented,which can collect the information of underlying resources and calculate the quality of service with the granularity of service function chaining.On the basis of summarizing the related research work on the adjustment scheme of service function chaining,the automatic adjustment scheme of service function chaining based on QoS guarantee is studied.Both the scenario that service function chaining is required to be adjusted and how to judge the scenario based on QoS are determined,and the adjustment scheme design of service function chaining and its decision-making relationship with adjustment scenario are given.The implementation and verification process are elaborated in detail for the migration,expansion and recovery schemes of service function chaining respectively.It shows that the service function chaining can realize the corresponding automatic adjustment scheme on the basis of guaranteeing the quality of service.
