In the traditional network structure,all devices need to be modified one by one if the network configuration need to be modified according to business requirements,which is very tedious and error-prone.In recent years,SDN(software-defined network)technology has gradually matured in wireless networks.SDN technology has advantages such as flexible structure and ease of upgrading,which helps to improve the performance of the network.This paper presents a set of SDN-based underwater communication network protocol framework and achieves the modeling of this framework through OPNET.Firstly this paper introduces several MAC layer protocols in the underwater acoustic communication network,and modeling the protocols of physical layer and MAC layer based on OPNET,and proposes a simulation mechanism of collisions in signal transmission.Next the related contents of the SDN technology and research progress of the current underwater SDN network are discussed.Based on the defects of existing architecture and practical requirements,a new set of underwater SDN communication network structure is proposed.The new structure introduce the idea of SDN and separates the routing layer into modules of route calculation and data forwarding.At the same time,it considers the actual situation of the underwater acoustic network.The route calculation module is reserved in the node for networking and establishing control channels.In order to realize the NFV(Network Virtulization)function,multiple forwarding modules and MAC modules are provided in the node and these modules are allowed to run in parallel to ensure that control information and data information share channels and are isolated from each other.There is also an SDN control module in the node,which undertakes some SDN functions and is responsible for managing the modules running in parallel in the nodes.In order to verify the effectiveness of the framework,this paper achieve the modeling of the various modules within the framework based on OPNET.The simulation results show that the framework achieves the pre-determined design goals.The framework has the advantages of autonomous networking,support for NFV,flexible modification of topology structure,flexible change of node functions,and support for parallel executation of multiple applications.In addition,due to the small coupling between modules in the frame,the replacement of each module is easy,making the frame have sufficient improvement potential.
