With the unique way of self-organization and the management of Network,the deployment of Wireless Mesh Network(WMN)has many advantages such as low cost,wide coverage,strong flexibility and etc.This thesis is devoted to the design and implement an integrated WMN network layer based on IEEE 802.16 d Mesh standard framework,as well as the comprehensive and detailed analysis of WMN network layer technology and architecture design.According to the requirement of the research,this thesis carries out the implementation of classifier module and header compression module,which is derived from the comprehensive research on the structure of transmitter and receiver,as well as the key technology of IEEE 802.16 WMN service convergence sublayer.On the basis of the in-depth study of the key technologies in classifier,such as rule mapping,classification matching,and service flow management,this thesis designs and implements an improved search classification algorithm based on layered hash algorithm,which improves the performance of classifier,including matching time,rule adding time,and etc.,while compared with high-complexity traditional linear search classification algorithm.With comparison and analysis of two compression algorithms recommended by the 802.16 Mesh standard,the ROHC algorithm is selected to implement the header compression module,and a reasonable optimization scheme is proposed to improve its compression rate and robust performance.By the demands and the characteristics of target network,and through the performance compared with the characteristics or the comprehensive analysis of the main network layer routing method for the wireless mesh network,the routing application function module based on BATMAN protocol was designed.The performance of BATMAN routing protocol underlying the IEEE802.16 mesh framework was be simulated and analyzed.The results show that BATMAN protocol has better end-to-end time delay,network throughput and packet loss rate performance,and can satisfy the application requirements of the target WMN system.This research also possess a certain reference value to the related technology and application research of WMN.
