With the development of streaming media transmission technologies and network terminal devices,people's demand for high-quality video and audio content is becoming increasingly intensive.Therefore,people have much higher requirements for the quality of experience of streaming media services.Because the traditional streaming media transmission services such as RTP/RTSP have problems in network compatibility,streaming media server complex,and high maintenance costs,it is difficult to meet current user experience requirements for streaming media services.In order to solve the problems existing in the traditional streaming media transmission system and provide a unified transmission standard,the moving picture experts group proposed a dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP.DASH is a streaming media transmission technology that combines the advantages of HTTP progressive download technology and dynamic adaptive technology,which can optimize the problems existing in traditional streaming media transmission services.This article focuses on DASH technology and the question of how to improve quality of experience based on DASH technology.This paper first analyzes three kinds of streaming media transmission solutions: real time streaming media transmission technology,progressive download streaming media transmission technology,and dynamic adaptive streaming media transmission technology.Then it introduces the technical standard of DASH in detail,analyzes the commonly used audio and video codec technology,audio and video file packaging technology,definition of QoE and commonly used QoE evaluation methods.Then,a DASH streaming media transmission system is design based on researching the DASH streaming media transmission architecture.The DASH streaming media transmission system related technologies such as video file generation,server construction,client dynamic adaptive implementation are analyzed in detail.Finally,based on the research of existing dynamic adaptive algorithms and analyzing the related factors of user QoE,a bit-rate adaptive algorithm based on bandwidth estimation and client fixed-interval buffer is designed.The dynamic adaptive algorithm presented in this paper is verified by the system.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the user's QoE on the premise of ensuring video quality.
