The security alarm field has gradually received widespread attention with the continuous development of the economy of China and the continuous deepening of the concept of building a harmonious society.The traditional security alarm products,in practical applications,need to be wired and laid,subject to many restrictions such as the site limitation and construction difficulty,which cannot meet the needs of the modern security alarm system development.In recent years,there have been many wireless security alarms based on short-range wireless technologies such as ZigBee and Wi-Fi.However,it is difficult to deploy a large range of security systems due to the small wireless coverage of application.In this paper,a regional security alarm system applying LoRa technology was designed,based on the analysis and comparison of the existing wireless communication technologies,the research of the development status of the security alarm industry and the Internet of Things communication technology,combining with the characteristics and advantages of the Low Power Wide Area Network(LPWAN)technology.The system consists of three parts: an alarm-aware node,a LoRa gateway,and an alarm display platform.Firstly,the SX1278 radio frequency chip is used to design and develop the alarm-aware node based on LoRa technology,so as to establish a wireless alarm long-distance transmission network to realize the wireless coverage of the entire campus area and meet the large-scale deployment requirements of the security system.Secondly,the LoRa gateway is designed and developed to realize the conversion of the network protocol,so that the system can interact in data with the IoT cloud platform.At last,the remote monitoring function of the alarm is realized through the OneNET cloud platform,so that the user can conveniently remotely monitor,deploy or cancel the security alarm system,which greatly improve the speed and accuracy of security emergency response and processing.Through the field communication performance test of the LoRa communication module SX1278,the technical communication distance can reach 5 kilometers in a relatively empty area,and also has good communication effect in complex buildings,and the packet loss rate and communication distance satisfy the requirements.Then,the overall function of the system is tested,showing that the system can display the status of each alarm detector in real time,and the alarm data can be uploaded in time so that the security personnel can respond quickly.The security alarm system using LoRa technology realizes the data collection and long-distance transmission of alarm detectors,featuring high reliability and convenient networking,which meets the requirements of low-cost and wide-coverage alarm network deployment,and has broad application prospects.
