Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast(ADS-B)is a new type of air surveillance technology by international aviation industry developed.Each aircraft equipped with an ADSB device keeps broadcasting position,velocity,height etc.Since ADS-B transmitted messages over unencrypted wireless channels,and lack of security measures,an adversary is able to eavesdropping,jamming and modify messages at will,which poses significant security risks for their applications.In order to ensure the integrity and authentication of ADS-B message,this dissertation proposes an ADS-B message authentication method based on certificateless short signature for low bandwidth and low data bits of ADS-B.The method combines the ADS-B communication process with the digital signature process.Based on the certificateless cryptography theory,the digital signature method is used to sign the message to ensure the integrity and authentication of the message.The experimental results show that compared with the existing scheme,the proposed method requires less computation,in which the calculation amount in the signature phase is reduced by 1/2,and the signature length is reduced by 3/4.In addition,this method does not require management certificates,has less impact on the network,has better performance,and meets the minimum operating performance standards for 1090 MHz extended squitter automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast(DO-260B).
