Face recognition is one of the most challenging research topics in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence.With the development of society,people put forward higher requirements for the accuracy,rapidity and security of identity recognition.Biometric technology has developed rapidly because of its own advantages.Compared with other biometrics such as palmprint recognition,speech recognition and gesture recognition,face recognition technology has great application value in the fields of identity authentication,video surveillance,Internet of Things,etc.for its advantages of directness,friendliness and concealment.However,the face recognition algorithm is still vulnerable to the adverse effects of illumination intensity,face angle,pose,face background and other interference information,which makes the recognition rate of the algorithm low and the computational complexity extremely complex.In order to solve the above problems,this paper first studies and analyses the existing image processing algorithms and face recognition technology,studies the basic principles of the algorithm,and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithm.Then,we focus on the face feature extraction methods of 2D-Gabor and LBPH algorithms.Because there are a lot of allowable feature information in2D-Gabor face feature extraction,this paper proposes to optimize the processing of weighting,dimensionality reduction and improvement of 2D-Gabor,and then fuse it with LBPH for face recognition.Experiments on standard data sets show that the recognition rate and robustness of the improved face algorithm based on 2D-Gabor and LBPH fusion are greatly improved compared with the traditional algorithm.According to the improved fusion recognition algorithm of 2D-Gabor and LBPH,this paper designs and develops a face recognition system based on ARM.Firstly,the system uses TCP/IP protocol to build C/S mode on the upper computer and ARM core board,uses Exynos 4412 processor to build the client system,uses Linux system as the server,and uses C++ language to write the core algorithm,so as to achieve real-time and stable communication between the client and the server.After performance testing,the system has the characteristics of low cost,small resource occupation,high recognition rate and strong real-time performance.It meets the basic application requirements of face system,provides a solution for artificial intelligence,Internet of Things,attendance system and so on,and is expected to be extended tovarious application scenarios of identity recognition.
