The Design And Implementation Of People Searching Based On Face Recognition

This paper studies the principle and process of face recognition technology, and has developed a system which helps others look for people based on face recognition algorithm. The system combines face recognition algorithm with developing technology, and it meets the needs of searching people nowadays.This paper firstly introduces the face recognition technology’s achievements in recent years, and then analyzes the situation at home and abroad. After that, the paper describes the principles and processes of face recognition technology in detail. Step one, a face recognition database needs building. Step two, human faces need to be detected. Step three, the image should be preprocessed, filtering various influence due to light, facial expressions, posture, age and other factors. Step four, recognizing faces with the help of the core algorithms which contain Eigenfaces, LBPH, Fisherfaces.Based on face recognition algorithm, this paper developed a new product about a system aiming at people searching. The system is divided into Web platform of families and the Application on the Android platform. Web terminal platform system with the families is developed on Yii framework of PHP. It contains the following functions:the Sign, upload the information of missing dears, as well as matching the missing person based on the face recognition, and sending and receiving messages from others. Android client application is developed for the majority of users, who can upload the information at any time to carry around the discovery of missing persons, in order to help these guys and their families as soon as possible. Android App also has lots of functions including:viewing the missing information, uploading photos through the local library function or making a photo, and sending and receiving messages from the families or the system. Android App identifies users through mobile phones, eliminating the step of registration and login. The product makes its best to simplify users’operation, making the greatest efforts to help people reaching their goals.
