Wireless ultraviolet(UV)communication technology has the characteristics of low interception rate,high confidentiality and strong anti-interference ability,and is suitable for vehicle formations to perform covert communication tasks in complex battlefield environments.The relay communication technology can assist the source node to forward information,not only improve the transmission capacity and transmission reliability of the communication system.but also reduce the communication outage probability of the communication network and effectively extend the communication distance.Applying relay cooperation technology to wireless UV communication,which enhances the invulnerability of communication links between formations,and realizes long-distance communication of wireless UV through the multi-hop transmission characteristics of relay communication.Based on the NLOS UV single scattering communication link model,this paper studies optimum number of hops about serial relay model and optimal relay selection of parallel relay model in wireless UV relay communication.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)UV optimal multi-hop relay of the equidistant distribution(ED)and random distribution(RD)driving models of the vehicle formation under the serial topology is analyzed.According to the UV communication channel capacity and path loss model,when the vehicle UV communication is under the models of ED and RD,the approximate expressions of the relationship between the UV transmitter and receiving apex angle and the optimum number of hops is obtained.Simulation analyzed the influence of the transmitter and receiving apex angle on the optimum number of hops.The simulation results show that the optimum number of hops corresponds to different transmitter and receiving apex angle.The multi-hop relay communication system can obtain a higher transmission capacity by a small transmission apex angle and a large receiving apex angle.The system performance does not increase as the number of cooperative relays increases under the condition of long-distance UV communication In the equidistant distribution model,when the transmission power is less than 25mW,the information transmission capability of the maximum spectral efficiency calculation method is about 7%higher than that of the optimum energy calculation method,and the power saving requirement is also achieved.(2)Aiming at the optimal relay communication link selection problem in the parallel relay model of combat vehicle formation,the optimal relay selection algorithm for wireless UV single source multiple relay is studied by using threshold decision and channel state information.The simulation analyzes the impact of signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),number of relay nodes,relay location and relay geometry on system performance.The simulation results show that the appropriate SNR threshold can be selected to choose the best relay node to establish a stable and reliable UV NLOS relay communication link.Under different relay geometries,the relay node with the best communication performance of the system is located close to the source node.Finally,the experiment is carried out on the optimal relay location.The experimental results show the correctness of the simulation conclusion.
