With the widespread use of radar in the military and the gradual popularization of everyday civilian use,array antennas and phased array antennas have received increasing attention.Correspondingly,broadband phased array,circularly polarized phased array,large-scale scanning array and array synthesis have received extensive attention and research at home and abroad.However,the phased array antenna calibration technology,which plays an important role in practical engineering,has attracted enough attention from the academic community.Only a small number of people are engaged in related research work.Based on the above background,this paper has done an in-depth study on the theory of phased array antenna calibration and calibration measurement,and has done corresponding experimental verification.The main work is summarized as follows:1.The mathematical model of phased array calibrationAccording to the phased array calibration process in actual engineering,the mathematical model of phased array is given,and the relationship between measurement and phased array calibration is explained.Based on this mathematical model,the error analysis of the linear algorithm in the existing phased array calibration is supplemented and improved,and another main factor affecting the accuracy of the linear algorithm is proposed: uniform excitation.2.The linear point measurement algorithmThe linear point measurement algorithm in the calibration algorithm is described in detail.According to the established mathematical model,the existing linear point measurement algorithm is analyzed uniformly.The influence of various factors on the accuracy of the linear point measurement algorithm is analyzed.The uniform excitation is the key factor affecting the accuracy of the linear point measurement algorithm.According to the analysis results,it is proposed that multiple measurements should be used to avoid the result of large errors.Then two fast measurement algorithms are proposed,which saves the measurement time and ensures the measurement accuracy.Simulation results and experimental results verify the correctness of the algorithm.3.The linear surface measurement algorithmThe linear surface measurement algorithm in the calibration algorithm is described in detail.The conclusions obtained in the second chapter are used to analyze the existing linear surface measurement algorithm.The influence of various factors on the accuracy of the linear surface measurement algorithm is analyzed.The matrix condition number is the key factor affecting the accuracy of the linear point measurement algorithm.According to the linear surface measurement algorithm model,it is proposed that multiple measurement methods should be used to obtain better matrix condition numbers.Then combined with the eigenvalue decomposition algorithm,a new surface measurement algorithm for far field is proposed.The algorithm effectively saves measurement time and also ensures measurement accuracy.The simulation results and experimental results verify the correctness of the algorithm.
