In the commercial supply chain environment,RFID chips, which attached to goods, require multiple transfers of their ownership.During the implementation of RFID tags' ownership transfers, the RFID tags are vulnerable to the attack of illegal users, because on the one hand, the low-cost tags' computing power and storage capacity are limited;on the other hand, the RFID system's communication distance of the forward channel is much larger than that of the backward channel. One more issue, most of the proposed ownership transfer protocols are about the transfers of single tags, which can hardly meet the needs of group tags ownership transfers in commercial applications. Therefore,it is of great significance to design an ownership transfer protocol, which can meet the market demand and realize the transfers of ownership of single tags and group tags. The main work of the paper is as follows:Firstly, the basic knowledge of RFID system is introduced. This paper first expounds the working principle of RFID system and its main components, and then discusses the security problems of the RFID system and corresponding solutions, and analyzes the security proof method for the RFID protocol and the capability of the RFID system attacker. On this basis, the security design target of RFID protocol is proposed.Secondly, several representative single tag ownership transfer protocols and group tags ownership transfer protocols are analyzed, and the advantages and disadvantages of the protocols are discussed.Thirdly,a kind of protocol for a single tag ownership transfer is proposed.GNY logic is used to analyze such protocol and it proves that the protocol is secure. The results of performance analysis of the protocol shows that the protocol has no obvious performance defect, and is suitable for application in low-cost business environment.Fourthly,a kind ofprotocol forgroup tagsownership transfer is proposed. The formalized analysis results show that the protocol is safe. The performance of this protocolis compared with that of severalproposed protocols, andthe results show that this protocol is superior under the same external conditions. On the premise of understanding the related knowledge on the RFID system, this paper proposes the security design goal of the RFID protocol.A kind of protocol forsingle tag ownership transfer and a kind of protocol for group tags ownership transfer are designed, andthe results of formal analysis show that both protocols aresafe. The results of performanceanalysis show that compared with the similar protocols, the protocols proposed in this paper have no obvious defects.
