With the rapid development of virtual reality,holographic image communication,4K high-definition and other applications,there is a growing demand for wireless communication transmission rate.In the current research of 5G communication system massive MIMO technology is adopted and millimeter wave band is introduced to improve the comprehensive transmission rate of the system.Aiming at the 5G millimeter wave communication receiving front-end of Q band,the receiving channel and the 16 cell receiving array have been studied.In this thesis,the framework of Q band receiver channel system is studied,then link budget are carried out.The selection of chip and the scheme of Q band receiving channel are then formulated.In order to verify the performance of millimeter wave receiving system,millimeter wave receiving channel circuit board was designed,assembled and measured.The measurements are in agreement with the previous link simulation results and the device measurements.At 42.5GHz,the channel gain is more than 21 dB,while the input 1 dB compression point is-2.5dBm.The Q band 16 channel receiver is systematically integrated,and the simulation of 16 patch antenna and horn antenna cell and array is carried out.Based on previous work,the 16 channel receiving system is assembled,tuned and calibrated.The RF performance is measured,and beam scanning as well as modulation and demodulation accuracy are measured with the help from Keysight Technology.
