Due to the rapid development of mobile wireless network and mobile devices,people are paying more attention to Mobile Ad Hoc Networks(MANETs).In IP-MANETs,a node will be assigned a new IP address when it moves to a new location,and frequent change of IP address may lead to interruptions of communications.In addition,because of the increasing demand for multimedia content and the problems traditional network facing,researchers propose Named Data Networking(NDN)based on the identity of data or content to replace the traditional communication architecture based on IP address.Therefore,many researchers have paid great attention to apply NDN schemes to MANETs.To alleviate broadcast storm of Interest Packets in NDN-MANETs,this thesis proposes two optimization-based next-hop broadcasting node selection algorithms.Algorithm 1 is based on one-hop and two-hop neighbor information.We can get location information from global positioning system(GPS).Considering that user can choose two different modulation modes with different power and communication range in CC-OffGrid,algorithm 2 use onehop and two-hop neighbor information to cover lagest communication range and nodes with lowest power.By adding a hop counter in Interest Packets and a DDL counter in Data Packets,we can obtain node speed-based DDL and use it for alleviating the broadcast storm of Data Packets in mobile environments.We also propose an efficient caching algorithm for data caching by efficiently exploiting content popularity information,leveraging the broadcast nature of wireless medium.In order to test the broadcasting algorithms and caching algorithm for the Interest Packets and Data Packets in NDN-MANETs,this thesis builds a MANET and implements a NDN layer among MANET in NS-3.At last,the thesis introduces the prototype and architecture of CC-OffGrid and tests CCOffGrid on hardware testbeds.To sum up,the proposed broadcasting algorithms and caching algorithm show great performance and are valuable both in science and in engineering.In addition,CC-OffGrid is also valuable both in engineering and business.
