As one of the hot topics in the development of automation technology,fieldbus technology has developed rapidly in recent years.It has become more and more mature,and has been widely used in the field of continuous chemical production.In the large-scale,integrated chemical production enterprises,the fieldbus technology replace analog signal with the method of digital communication,and realized that the process variables measurement and control information acquisition can be gathered locally,calculated locally,and control locally.Control function can be put down to the field instrument devices,that meet the requirement of the large-scale chemical plant distribution control,centralized management,variable scale.As a result,more and more large scale chemical plants are widely used the integration of fieldbus technology and DCS as the automation control system.by stating the control system design and application of Chlorine plant in Bayer Material Science and technology(China)limited company.The paper analyzed and discussed the application process of the PlantWeb system which based on foundation fieldbus technology profoundly.In order to set up a "digital smart factory",which has the integrated of production and management,high efficiency,low energy consumption and reduce the cost of construction.The selection of appropriate automation process control system is particularly important.It must meet several basic requirements: to ensure the reliability of the long period running,low cost for the system extension,high openness for system communication and strong capacities for the system integration.Taking the practical engineering application as an example,this paper expounds the concept,communication mode,network structure,the advantages and characteristics of the application of fieldbus technology.And lists several typical fieldbus technologies.According to the characteristics of chlorine production process,the paper puts forward the design scheme of the control system by use the PlantWeb which based on foundation fieldbus,expounds the process of the overall scheme of the control system,and puts forward some technical measures for the construction of the system.By the AMS embedded in DeltaV system,the system can monitor the health status of fieldbus device on line,such as FF,Profibus,Hart and so on.And decide if the maintenance needs to be done before the device collapse.It realizes preventive maintenance of instrument devices.HCL electrolysis to make chlorine is a mature process with strong corrosive and high power consumption,it is a continuous process,comprised of many auxiliary systems,and strong electromagnetic interference,etc.according to the characteristics of process control of HCL electrolysis,this paper focuses on stating the concept of traditional PID controller which worked as the main controller in the chlorine plant,introduced PID parameter tuning and realization in detail.lists the optimization of the chlorine distribution control strategy which realized by the intelligent fieldbus devices.Stated the detail process how to solve the problem regarding the pressure control of the chlorine distribution manifold which troubled us for a long time.by the comparison of control performance between the traditional PID control and feed forward+ PID,it can draw a conclusion that the new controller improved the control performance.The optimized scheme can effectively overcome the problem of the pressure fluctuation caused by the load changes of chlorine.At last,the paper listed the optimization of HCL concentration ratio controller by using the PID function block in fieldbus devices.
