Virtualization,as the core technology of cloud computing which is developing well lately,has made an impressive progress so far.However,its success leaves safety of virtualized environment more vulnerable.As far as known,the most effective way to cope with these problems is data encryption.But the current method to encrypt data in the virtualized environment leaks many shortages.Based on the requirement of solving disadvantages,this dissertation has proposed a more reasonable,safer and more effective plan.By deeply analysis of current technology of cipher card and virtualization and ultimate usage of SR-IOV tech and PCIe bus,the paper brings up a kind of SR-IOV cipher card based on FPGA platform.Apart from the compatible of hardware architecture for most traditional computer,the cipher card made it realizable to boost the speed of the encryption service in SR-IOV supported platform.With SHA1 embedded,it succeeded in supporting physical isolation between each VF,comparing with the software virtualized cipher card.What's more,each VF,meeting the practical needs,inherits the high performance of traditional PCIe cipher cards.The main work of this dissertation focuses on two aspects,namely the hardware design and the software design.In respect of the hardware design,it includes DMA channels and SHA1's programming.Developing drivers and test applications are included in the software design.Through precise and comprehensive validation and performance test,it has indicated that each function of the SR-IOV cipher card meets the f requirement of the design,and has been testified to have a good prospect in the field of virtualized encryption.
