As an important measurement field today,the requirements of displacement measurement methods are getting higher and higher.The magnetostrictive displacement sensor is a kind of sensor that converts the displacement into a quantity of time.Unique non-contact measurement makes this sensor better.Considering the research status of magnetostrictive displacement sensor,this paper designs a highaccuracy and high-precision magnetostrictive displacement sensor based on ferrite,the main works completed in this paper are:(1)Based on DSP system,A magnetostrictive displacement sensor is proposed.According to the mechanism of the torsional wave generation and the working process of the sensor,we design the overall structure of the sensor,analyze the related characteristics of different magnetostrictive materials and choose the experiment of ferrite magnetostrictive material to analyze the effect of the excitation pulse intensity on the echo signal.(2)Based on DSP minimum system,the system is designed from both hardware and software aspects of the sensor.The hardware circuit is divided into analog circuit and digital circuit,the analog circuit mainly includes a power supply circuit and a zerocrossing detection circuit,the digital circuit mainly includes an excitation pulse generating circuit and a time measuring circuit.The software part includes the system clock program,the excitation pulse generation program,the pulse acquisition program,and the analog voltage output program.(3)Based on the hardware circuit and software module of the magnetostrictive displacement sensor,we carry out the overall debugging of the sensor.We can determine whether the sensor is working normally accroding to the PWM waveform and the analog voltage obtained by the oscilloscope observation and analysis.The static characteristics and performance indexes of the sensor are analyzed experimentally,which indicates that the sensor designed in this paper can achieve the ideal measurement accuracy.
