Arterial disease is the reason of cardiovascular disease morbidity and the leading cause of death, early diagnosis of artery function and structure information's change has important social and economical significance in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.Firstly, this paper systematically researches the detection methods of atherosclerosis, focusing in detailed elaborating the pulse wave velocity method and the heart - the ankle vascular index, and presents the artery structure detection method. Secondly, this paper comprehensively applies the knowledge of simulated electronic technology, digital electronics technology, micro-controllers, Lab VIEW and such various aspects, develops at a lower cost evaluation system of patients' arterial.This article has done researches mainly on following aspects:1. Understanding the important clinical significance of atherosclerosis, researching measurement methods and principles of atherosclerosis.2. Designing various physiological information acquisition circuit (including heart sounds, blood pressure, pulse wave signals).3. Full understanding on the series ATmega128 AVR microcontroller of ATMEL company, and carrying on the embedded programming.4. Compiling the application procedure based in position machine with LabVIEW.The studies above were progressed smoothly, finally completed system of theevaluating artery function, and basically reaches the design requirements.
