Molecular communication is one of the main communication methods of nanonetworks.It is a kind of short distance communication technology based on biological heuristic mechanism,which uses biochemical molecules as information carriers to carry out information molecules.Molecular communication has been widely used in the fields of biological engineering,medical and healthcare applications,environmental monitoring and protection,industrial production and information and communication technology,and has become a new hot spot in the academic circles at home and abroad in recent years.Firstly,this paper outlines the theoretical knowledge of molecular communication,introduces the basic concepts,components,communication process,characteristics and applications of molecular communication.It compares molecular communication with traditional wireless communication and analyzes the different characteristics of molecular communication and traditional wireless communication.The basic ideas of the opportunistic routing and geographical opportunistic routing algorithm in the traditional network are elaborated,and the advantages and disadvantages of geographical opportunistic routing are introduced.This paper makes a deep analysis of the quorum sensing mechanism and discusses the feasibility of applying group induction mechanism to molecular communication.Secondly,in order to improve the transmission rate of molecular communication,based on the idea of opportunity routing and the characteristics of geographic opportunity routing,this paper applies it to the nanonetworks,and establishes a geographic opportunity routing algorithm based on free diffusion in nanoscale,and carries out experimental simulation using MATLAB.Simulation results show that the proposed geographical opportunistic routing algorithm with concentration as the criterion has better performance.Thirdly,in order to improve the transmission efficiency of molecular communication,this paper builds an opportunity routing algorithm based on the quorum sensing based nanonetworks based on the bacterial quorum sensing mechanism,and carries out experimental simulation using MATLAB.The experimental simulation results show that the proposed opportunistic routing algorithm applying the quorum sensing mechanism to the nanometer network can effectively increase the signal molecule concentration in the molecular communication system,so as to improve the efficiency of information transmission.Finally,this paper summarizes the work done and the deficiencies in the research process and the outlook for future work.
