Researchers have always regarded image matching as a key and difficult point in digital image research.It's an method for image matching to extract and match image features.Scale-invariant feature transformation,that is,SIFT algorithm is milestone in the field.It has a in-depth application in medical equipment,satellite remote sensing image analysis,resource exploration,and robot map awareness and navigation.Image enhancement technology expands the details of the image to facilitate observation of the research technique,depending on the needs of the researcher.Image enhancement technology is developing rapidly with many directions,wide application,and relatively mature technology.It is gradually applied to various fields such as land planning,weather forecasting,military surveillance,industrial automation,and public safety.Firstly,the paper introduces the research significance of image matching and the development history of SIFT algorithm.Then it introduces the basic principle and core steps of SIFT algorithm.According to the shortcomings of SIFT algorithm,such as long time-consuming and poor matching accuracy,the targeted improvement has been made.Experiments are used to verify the superiority of the improved algorithm.Then several common image enhancement methods are introduced from several important directions of image enhancement development.The usage scenarios,advantages and disadvantages are briefly analyzed.The idea of combining image enhancement technology with SIFT algorithm is proposed,and a new image enhancement method is proposed,which is compared and verified by experiments.Finally,the image matching and fusion system based on image enhancement technology is designed and implemented,which realizes the integration of the work done in this paper.The combination of image enhancement and improved SIFT algorithm enables the system to obtain better feature point quality and matching efficiency.In the application scenario of image matching,the system used to obtain better results when key point extraction and matching.
