As a special social education institution and cultural infrastructure, the educational function is the main way to realize its social function. As the management of the Forbidden City, the Palace Museum activities of young people. But at the same time, there are also some problems. These problems are also caused by the unclear understanding of the characteristics and needs of the youth groups.Young people are affected by the rapid spread of the Internet.New media is the medium through which they are exposed, and the information they send is full of their information ecosystem.Under the backward that the young people is more and more relying on new media, the traditional way of communication in the past is no longer able to meet the needs of contemporary young people, and it is unable to play a significant educational function. Therefore, the Palace Museum began to explore new ways for transformation, use new media platforms and technologies, break through the intrinsic barriers to communication in traditional culture, and use the new media that young people are willing to accept to have a positive impact on their cognition, emotions, and behaviors, thus achieving museum educational function. The function is to attract more young people to visit the museum and fall in love with Chinese traditional culture. This is also the value of the research. From the related literature, although the research on the cultural media communication of the Palace Museum has been involved,it ignores the important links between museums and young people.Because of the fact that the young people already have certain discernment ability, their behavior has gradually begun to show autonomy, and the importance of youth groups to society and national development. Therefore, after collecting relevant literature, limited the scope of research to adolescents aged 14-28.Using literature analysis, questionnaire survey, and in-depth interviews as research methods, and went to the Forbidden City for a
