the shortage of spectrum resources and the low utilization of spectrum have been restricting the realization of greater breakthroughs in communication technology.In order to alleviate the difficulties faced by wireless communication in the future,it has become an urgent problem to find a new microwave communication technology that can rapidly improve the spectral utilization.Orbital angular momentum(OAM),which is different from traditional spectrum multiplexing techniques such as time and code type.This new modulation method mainly utilizes the orthogonality of different modes of OAM to realize the simultaneous transmission of multiple OAM vortex waves in the same frequency band,which is expected to be an effective method to solve the problem of low spectrum utilization.In this paper,the theory of OAM is combined with the principle of array antenna design,and the concrete design scheme of multiple OAM antennas are proposed.Then the different OAM antennas designed are analyzed and studied.The main research contents and innovations of this paper can be divided into three parts as follows:The array antenna is a common method to generate OAM vortex wave in micro-band.Firstly,the reason why the array antenna produces OAM beam is explained and deduced theoretically,which lays a theoretical foundation for the design of OAM antenna in the following paper.Then,based on the ring phased array antenna model and its radiation principle,we design the ring-shaped OAM array antenna and the corresponding feed network based on 5GHz wireless frequency band.Finally,the performance parameters are analyzed,it also discusses the characteristics of the OAM vortex electromagnetic wave.The generation of OAM beams by using Dielectric Resonator Antenna(DRA)is proposed in this paper.This antenna has many advantages,which is helpflil to the design of OAM array antenna.Then the relevant performance parameters are analyzed,it is found that the DRA array antenna with reasonable feed position is helpful to reduce the central spatial problem of the OAM beam.Finally,the influence of different antenna feeding methods on the OAM vortex wave generated by the array antenna is studied.The study found that reasonable antenna feeding mode can reduce the problem of the central domain and help to generate stable OAM vortex electromagnetic wave.This paper combines OAM spectrur multiplexing technology with the principle of ultra wideband DRA,a new high frequency microwave ultra wideband OAM antenna is designed and it works on Ku,K and Ka bands.It not only shows the ultra wideband performance of OAM antenna,but also shows the ability of OAM to improve the spectrum utilization.During the simulation of the OAM antenna,it is found that the amplitude of the electric field gain pattern of the same OAM mode generated by the designed ultra wideband OAM antenna at different frequency points is basically unchanged.This also reflects that their energy concentration is basically consistent,which proves that the design of ultra-wideband OAM antenna has a certain applicability.
