The rapid development of new technologies such as mobile Internet,big data and cloud computing has brought positive impacts on people's lives and production.At the same time,due to the rapid increase of traffic in the network,it also raises new issues for network management and optimization.As a new network architecture,Software Defined Network(SDN)has the characteristics of numerical control separation,centralized control and network programmable,and opens the north-south interface in the network.These many features of SDN provide a new idea for traffic monitoring research in SDN campus network.Based on the above characteristics of SDN network,this paper has carried out detailed research on SDN campus network traffic monitoring system,mainly in the following aspects: First,the importance and necessity of network traffic monitoring are discussed from the perspectives of network behavior evaluation,network security and network planning.On this basis,the overall framework of the traffic monitoring system in the SDN campus network is further proposed.The system includes three functional modules: traffic collection,link importance assessment and abnormal traffic monitoring.Secondly,from the perspective of network traffic,the specific network topology map is used for the chain;The third is to design two detection algorithms to detect the abnormal traffic generated by the controller and host in the SDN campus network.The feature that the controller end receives the Packet_in packet rate is used as a basis for determining the abnormality of the traffic in the controller,and the abnormality in the host is extracted by extracting the key quintuple information and calculating the entropy value.In this paper,the network traffic collection module,the traffic-based link importance evaluation module and the abnormal traffic monitoring module in the SDN campus network traffic monitoring system are implemented separately,and then a specific network topology map is built in the Mininet.The link importance evaluation module and the abnormal traffic monitoring module were respectively tested experimentally.The experimental results show that the SDN campus network traffic monitoring system can correctly evaluate the link in the current topology environment,detect the abnormal traffic for the controller and the host in time,and effectively control it,providing more management and optimization for the network.The reference idea of the dimension.
