Study On The Relationship Between The Media Care And The Accrued Earnings Management

This paper takes the Anti-Corruption Struggle since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as the background and 102 State-Owned Capital Holding Listed Companies as samples to discuss the impact of Media Care on Accrued Earnings Management.Based on the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,this paper explores how to exert the Mediating Effect of the Effectiveness of Internal Control in the Inhibition Effect of Media Care on Accrued Earnings Management,and how to play the Adjusting Role of the relevant characteristics of the Board of Directors,Board of Supervisors and Corporate Top Management Team(TMT)in this mediating relationship.First of all,this paper proposes the research background and value based on the current Accrued Earnings Management in China's capital market and the role and limitations of Media Care.This paper reviewed and sorted out the domestic and foreign literature on the impact of Media Care on Accrued Earnings Management,referred to the studies of relevant scholars on the Effectiveness of Internal Control and the characteristics of the Board of Directors,Board of Supervisors and Top Management Team,and put forward the hypothesis of this paper centering on the theories of Media Governance and Stakeholder Theory.Secondly,after the conceptual definition of the research content in this paper,the research variables needed in this paper were selected,and the Multiple Regression Analysis and the Moderated Mediation Model Test Method were used to construct the research model in this paper.Thirdly,in order to understand the current status of media reports and explore the problems related to corruption reports of State-Owned Capital Holding Listed Companies,this paper elaborates on the sample characteristics of the four variables in this paper from the four aspects of Media Care,Accrued Earnings Management,Effectiveness of Internal Control and the characteristics of the Board of Directors,the Board of Supervisors and the Top Management Team.Thirdly,this paper divided the time before and after the corruption news of the First Advanced Officers of the company was exposed,respectively tested the Correlation of Variables in this paper,empirically tested the impact of Media Care on Accrued Management and the Effectiveness of Internal Control,and conducted a Moderating Intermediary Effect test.Finally,Policy Suggestions are put forward based on the research conclusions.This paper draws the following conclusions:under the influence of the Media Reputation Supervision Mechanism,Media Care can restrain the degree of Accrued Earnings Management and significantly enhance the Effectiveness of the company's Internal Control.As an external variable,Media Care exerts enormous pressure on the reputation of the company's Board of Directors,Board of Supervisors and Top Management Team by delivering negative corporate news to the society.In order to maintain their own reputation,reduce Accrued Earnings Management,enhance the Effectiveness of Internal Control.At the same time,when the Board of Directors set up complete major committee,member of the Board of Supervisors hold shares in the company will gradually enhancing the effectiveness of Advanced Officers to improve Internal Control corresponding to the influence of Accrued Earnings Management Intermediary Role,prompting Media Care with the aid of the power of the Internal Control,Inhibition of the company's Accrued Earnings Management set up Long-Term,Effective and Controllable Mechanism.Finally,this paper puts forward Suggestions on optimizing the level of Media Care Governance so as to strengthen the Supervision Role of mainstream media,optimizing the Corporate Governance System and striving to improve the Internal Control Mechanism of the company,as well as optimizing the characteristics of the Board of Directors,Board of Supervisors and Top Management Team so as to facilitate the Effectiveness of Internal Control.
