Duku founded in 2006,It's a comprehensive humanities and social science magazine.Under the leadership of the editor-in-chief Zhang Lixian,the magazine style,editorial ideas,propaganda methods,and management methods of “Reading the Library” have been well received by the industry,creating a recognized book brand,which has established a brand for the current small and medium-sized publishing institutions.The competition in China's publishing market is becoming increasingly fierce,from the former product competition to brand competition,and brand competition has become the main way of competition for publishing organizations.Whether a publishing institution can create a distinctive brand according to its own characteristics determines whether it can stand firm in the rapids of the publishing market.Duku has been active in the book market for 13 years since its inception and is in good operating condition.Fixed rooting in the publishing market,which is inseparable from its distinctive cultural character.In view of this,this article takes the "Reading Library" magazine as a case study,and defines the book brand from the perspectives of editorial publishing and brand communication;according to the definition,the founder,editorial concept,core product and derivative of "Reading Library" The product made a brief introduction;then through the "Reading Library" positioning,content requirements,external binding,peripheral development,propaganda methods,etc.,the "Reading Library" brand shaping method was analyzed,and finally the analysis of the "Read Library" brand construction belt Inspiration for other small and medium-sized publishing institutions: First of all,we must insist on content as the king,and make the content the ultimate.The ultimate content is often lacking in the market.Secondly,it strengthens the sense of quality,relies on its own characteristics,regulates the publishing process,and pays attention to readers' feelings.Out of the boutique books,stand out in the mixed market of fish and dragons;finally,the brand awareness must be passed through the beginning and the end,the brand construction is not a one-off,but the collapse of the brand is indeed a moment,so this requires us to insist on the maintenance of the brand later.
