The localization using time difference of arrival(TDOA positioning)is an effective method for unknown source location.TDOA positioning accuracy depends on the measuremen-t accuracy of TDOA.The thesis mainly studies TDOA measurement based on the multi-dimensional parameter joint estimation method with heterogeneous arrays which is com-posed of polarization-sensitive horizontal electric dipole.The main work of the thesis is as follows:1)The nonlinear optimization problem of short-wave multi-dimensional parameter estimation TDOA measurement based on polarization-sensitive horizontal electric dipole is studied.The multi-dimensional parameter estimation and reached the limit of the arrival time difference measuring performance based on the heterogeneous array are analyzed.And the calculation formula of the short-wave multi-dimensional parameter estimation and the Cramer-Rao Bound(CRB)of the TDOA estima-tion problem is deduced in detail;2)TDOA measurement based on the multi-dimensional parameter joint estimation of the heterogeneous receiving array composed of polarization-sensitive horizontal electric dipoles is studied.A step-by-step solution is used in the solution process:Firstly,the problem is transformed into the initial estimation of the Direction of Arrival and Polarization Phase parameters.Then,the initial estimation of the Direction of Arrival and Polarization Phase is brought into the original optimization problem and to solve the initial estimation of the arrival time difference by Newton method.In the end,a joint estimate of the initial estimates of all multidimensional parameters yields the final estimate.Moreover,the Monte Carlo(Monte Carlo,MC)simulation experiments were used to sim-ulate and analyze in single-mode and multi-mode scenarios.Monte Carlo simulation results show that the short-wave multidimensional parameter esti-mation method based on polarization-sensitive horizontal electric dipole array in this thesis has higher estimation accuracy and its estimated error is close to its corresponding CRLB.The estimation error of the short-wave TDOA estimation for the single-mode scenario is close to the limit performance.In addition,the estimation method can obtain a more ac-curate estimation for short-wave multi-dimensional parameters and TDOA in multi-mode scenarios.
