As one of the top 10 technologies for priority development in the 21st century,the sensor will be miniaturized,integrated,multi-functional and systematic in the future.Surface plasmons(SPs)breaks through the diffraction limit of traditional optics,achieves light transmission at nanometer scale and is extremely sensitive to changes in the refractive index of the surrounding dielectric.Photonic crystal fiber(PCF)has the advantages of light weight,small size and anti-electromagnetic interference.Therefore,it provides new ideas and development space for obtaining sensors with high sensitivity,high reliability,miniaturization and easy integration by combining surface plasmon resonance(SPR)with optical fiber.In this paper,a functional material,magnetic fluids(MFs),which is sensitive to magnetic field and temperature,is used as dielectric to design optical fiber SPR dual-parameter sensor with different structures,and the performances of sensors are studied.The main research work of this thesis is as follows:(1)The theoretical basis of SPR is studied,including the principle of SPR excitation,the implementation and modulation method of SPR sensor.Moreover,the theory of PCF is studied,including wave equation,numerical analysis method and optical transmission characteristics.(2)A magnetic field and temperature dual-parameter fiber sensor based on SPR and PCF is proposed.The PCF used in the sensor has a small air hole in the core,three layers of air holes in the cladding,and the upper and lower air holes of second layers have large aperture.After coated with metal film in the large aperture channels,MFs and polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)are filled,respectively.And Ta2O5 is used to adjust the SPR loss spectrum of the upper channel.Under the optimum design,the sensor realizes dual-parameter sensing with magnetic field sensitivity of0.08269 nm/Oe and temperature sensitivity of-0.4936 nm/?.(3)A magnetic field and temperature dual-parameter sensor based on SPR and double-side-cut double-hole fiber is proposed.The sensor has two large aperture channels,which are double-cut double circular holes,and then the SPR is stimulated by filling metal wires or coating metal film in two channels,lastly,dual-parameter sensing is realized by filling MFs,which is sensitive to magnetic field and temperature.Compared with metal film coating and metal wires filling,the metal wires filling not only simplifies the structure,makes the fabrication more convenient,but also improves the sensitivity of the magnetic field.With the metal wires filling,the magnetic field sensitivity of the sensor is 0.173 nm/Oe,and the temperature sensitivity is-0.625 nm/?.
