The outbreak of the third industrial revolution in the 1940 s and 1950 s promoted the formation and development of 3D printing technology.With the advancement of science,the technology has been successfully applied in many fields such as aerospace,medicine,clothing,building construction and food manufacturing.At present,our school has a key laboratory focusing on 3D printing research,the laboratory has several printer devices based on different principles and two scanner devices.We combine 3D printing technology with geological research,and we printed a lot of entity geological models through 3D printers.With the deepening of research,the types and quantities of entity geological models are increasing,but some models have entered the state of shelving after they have been used.Therefore,how to maximize the value of the shelved models is one of the hottest issues in the field of 3D printing technology.In this paper,a 3D entity geological models sharing system is designed to ruduce the occurrence of the situation that the value of resource utilization is reduced due to entity geological models shelving.The paper has reviewed a large number of domestic and foreign literatures,based on the research of various mainstream computer technologies,combined with the analysis of front and back users' needs,the paper finally chooses to use SSM(Spring+SpringMVC+Mybatis)framework to deploy and implement the system on the Java development platform.The web server of the system adopts Tomcat,the database adopts MySQL,and the software structure of the system is divided into the presentation layer,the business layer and the service layer by using the browser/server access mode.The Freemarker template engine is introduced to realize the separation of the program logic and the page design.The function implementation of the system mainly involves two entity users,background administrators and ordinary users.Background administrators are mainly responsible for uploading,modifying,publishing of 3D entity geological models information and managing the user's orders.While ordinary users can browse models,search models,collect models,add shopping carts and apply for shared use in the system.At the same time,the paper considered the scalability of the system when system was designed.For example,the reservations of fields such as model providers and model publishing areas are intended to let more 3D entity geological model researchers participated in the activity of resource sharing and communication.In addition,the system also provides an interested model recommended function according to the user's browsing preferences,which greatly enhances the user's experience.The realization of this system not only provides a good 3D entity geological model sharing and communicative platform for geoscientists to effectively solve the problem of reducing the value of resource utilization,but also is a demonstration and promotion of laboratory research results.It has important application value in the research of the combination of 3D printing technology and geology.
