In the wake of developments in wireless communication technology,5G communication technology is about to enter the commercial market,and 5G wireless communication antenna has become a hot research topic.The antenna for 5G mobile communication should have high gain,miniaturization,wide band and high isolation to meet the high transmission rate,beam smart shaping and beam energy aggregation of 5G communication.According to the latest notice from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,the 5G frequency bands are delineated at 2515MHz-2675MHz,3400MHz-3600MHz and 4800MHz-4900MHz.The dual-polarization microstrip phased array antenna combines the advantages of a phased array antenna and a microstrip antenna.At present,it has advantages such as fast scanning,flexible beam control,small size,light weight,easy integration and large amount of information to be carried,and it has been used in aperture synthesis radar and global positioning system.And satellite communication systems and it has been widely used in other areas.In this thesis,a phased array microstrip antenna is designed with a dual-polarized slot-coupled microstrip antenna as the element and used in the 3400MHz-3600MHz band.It is designed with the low side-lobe level,high isolation and low cross-polarization levels.The main work of this thesis is as follows:1.First introduce the current research background and research progress,and briefly introduce the basic theory of microstrip antennas and phased array antennas.2.Secondly,the dual-polarization slot-coupled microstrip antenna unit is designed.The optimized simulation and parameter analysis of the dual-polarized microstrip antenna unit have good isolation and cross-polarization.3.Based on the element designed,a dual-polarized microstrip 1×4 array antenna is designed using the Chebyshev method with the low side-lobe level,and it is given that the simulation and measurement results.4.On the base of the 1×4 array antenna,a dual-polarized microstrip 4x4 array antenna is designed,and the phase shift control circuit is designed.The beam scanning simulation of the dual-polarized 4×4 phased array antenna realizes the beam scanning of the phased array antenna at-300° to 30°.The phase shift control system and the phased array antenna are fabricated and measured,which meets the design requirements.
