Wireless communication plays an important role in today's telecommunications industry,and we are inseparable from wireless communication networks in every aspect of our daily life.As the largest energy-consuming unit in wireless communication systems,power amplifiers affect the performance of the overall wireless communication system to a certain extent.With the development of 4G mobile communication technology,people have been able to feel the convenience brought by high-speed mobile communication networks.However,with the continuous development of the Internet of Things technology,the amount of mobile data transmission is also constantly increasing,which requires the communication system to have a wider channel bandwidth.As the core module of the communication system,the power amplifier should have the characteristics of broadband efficiency under the current development trend.In this thesis,we study the characteristics of broadband power amplifiers and high-efficiency Class-F power,and combine the advantages of both to study and design broadband high-efficiency Class-F power amplifiers.This thesis firstly consulted a large amount of literature,summed up the broadband matching theory of broadband power amplifiers at home and abroad,and the theoretical design of high-efficiency Class-F power amplifiers.Secondly,this thesis introduces various broadband matching technologies,summarizes the characteristics of each technology,and provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent broadband high-efficiency Class-F power amplifiers.At the same time,this thesis introduces the design process of broadband high-efficiency Class-F power amplifier,including the design of harmonic control network,the design of input and output matching circuit,and the design of bias circuit.Aiming at the reason of the bandwidth limitation of the traditional Class-F power amplifier harmonic control network,this thesis proposes a new hamionic control network to improve the efficiency of Class-F power amplifier.At the same time,the input and output matching circuits use step-matching circuit to improve Bandwidth of Class-F amplifiers.The bias network has been redesigned to improve the circuit stability of broadband Class F amplifiers.The measured results show that the dass-F power amplifier has a drain efficiency of 60%80%,the output power is over 11.3W,the power gain is more than 10dB;and the second hamionic suppression and third harmonic suppression in the frequency band of 1.5 GHz to2.6 GHz is less than-15dBc.Considering the high Q of the rectangular microstrip line,this thesis proposes a hamionic control network based on the tapered microstrip line.The harmonic control network increases the bandwidth and efficiency of the Class-F power amplifier by adding a tapered microstrip line as a tuned microstrip line.At the same time,the matching network uses low-pass matching technology to increase the bandwidth of the Class-F power amplifier.The measured results show that the power amplifier of this design has a drain efficiency of 60%?78%5 output power is over 10W,the power gain is more than 10dB,and the second hannonic suppression and third harmonic suppression in the frequency band of 2.7 GHz to 3.8 GHz is less than-17dBc.It can be seen from the above measured results that the two broadband high-efficiency Class-F power amplifiers designed in this thesis take into account the characteristics of broadband and high efficiency,and their perfonnance indicators basically meet the design requirements,and basically solve the bandwidth problem of Class-F power amplifiers.The overall structure of the class-F amplifier is reasonable and effective.
