Research On Model Of Information Resource Efficient Use In Library Of Xidian University

As the storage center of information resources,the function of library is not only the collection and custody of technical documents and data,but also the reasonable quantitative statistics of the work of library science.And on this basis,it will propose the corresponding improvement measures to strengthen the service function of the libraries to the national economy and social development.According to the principle of Chinese Library Classification-the basic classification and the subclassification,taking the library resources in XidianUniversity as the research,the present condition of the library holdings structure has been analyzed.By using the accordant theory,every kinds of books in the library holdings has been analyzed accordantly and the direction of qualitatively adjusting the library structure has been proposed.However,the accordant theory has its limitation,which can not draw the quantificational conclusion for the adjustment of the library with holdings structure and the model is very simple.In view of various factors affecting the utilization ratio of books,a multivariable model is proposed based on the practical data from the library system of Xidian University,which the model parameters are estimated using the least square method.The predication and the estimation with the model are helpful for the quantificational conclusion for the adjustment.
