The millimeter-wave compact-range communication,which has the characteristics of stable signal strength,no need for antenna beamforming and alignment,and low environmental interference,is suitable for millimeter-wave high-speed wireless access applications in a small area.In this thesis,the leaky waveguide structures are introduced into the antenna design for millimeter-wave compact-range communications.The method of combining theoretical calculation analysis,electromagnetic full-wave simulation software simulation analysis and experimental testing is used to study and analyze the radiation characteristics of the leaky waveguide in millimeter-wave in near-field region.Three leaky waveguide structures are designed for millimeter-wave compact-range communications.The main work and innovation of this thesis are concluded as follows:(1)The radiation characteristics of the millimeter-wave leaky waveguide in the near-field region are analyzed by theoretical calculations.According to the radiation theory ofslot antenna,the leaky waveguide array is equivalent to magnetic current element array model.The radiation characteristics of the modle in near-field region are calculated and analyzed through Matlab programming.The possibility of in millimeter-wave compact-range communications based on leaky waveguide is proved,which provides theoretical support for the design of the leaky waveguide in millimeter-wave.(2)The radiation-compensated millimeter-wave leaky waveguide with H-shaped slots is researched and designed.The leaky waveguide is divided into multiple sub-segments.The energy leakage rate of each sub-segment is controlled by adjusting the sizes of the H-shaped slots,so that a uniform coverage of radio waves in the near-field area can be realized.The working frequency band of the leaky waveguide is35 GHz to 40 GHz.Along the direction of the centerline of the leaky waveguide,the main polarization component of the electric field intensity fluctuates within 5 d B in the radiation area.(3)Dual polarization leaky wavegudie based on substrate integrated waveguide is studied and designed.By staggering two sets of leaky waveguides with horizontal and vertical slots,and rationally adjusting the slots period and structure size of the two sets of leaky waveguides,the designed leaky waveguide works in 26.5 GHz to 29.5 GHz,and it achieve dual-polarized stable coverage in the near-field region.(4)The leaky waveguide with radiation area compensation is studied and designed.The waveguide is composed of two sets of leaky waveguide structures that are placed perpendicular to each other.adjusting By adjusting the slots period and structure size of the two sets of leaky waveguides,the problem of stable radio waves coverage reduction within the operating frequency band caused by the leaky waveguide radiation angle changing with frequency is effectively overcome.The designed leaky waveguide works in the frequency range of 24.25 GHz to 28.35 GHz,and a stable coverage in a fixed area within the entire operating band can be achieved.
