With the development of infrared imaging technology,the data need to be processed by infrared warning information processing system and its complexity is increasing.It is hard for traditional designs based on single-core DSPs to fulfil the system demands to be real-time.The research of infrared warning information processing system based on Multicore DSPs has been a new hot-spot.In order to utilize multicore DSP in infrared warning information processing system and reach its full potential,hardware and software design technologies of the multicore DSP TMS320C6678 that are related to infrared warning system were researched in this thesis.The requirements of infrared warning information processing system were analyzed,based on which the multicore DSP+FPGA system hardware design architecture was determined.Then system hardware were categorized in to power supply,clock source,memory,communication,debug,image acquisition and display based on functions.According to interface forms,communication protocols,I/O voltages,clock frequencies and overall power consumption,proper chips were selected.With reference to datasheets,the hardware design of infrared warning information processing system based on the multicore DSP was completed.An infrared dim small target detection algorithm was implemented as parallel processing software on the multicore DSP based on SYS/BIOS and IPC software components.The whole work of the algorithm was divided into small tasks,which was then mapped to different cores.Different threads on different cores were designed to do these small tasks.The communication and synchronization mechanism between cores were also implemented.The result of the parallel processing software proved the implementation can work well.The comparison of serial processing on a single core and parallel processing on multiple cores were made,based on which the multicore DSP software design principles were proposed.In order to make the system hardware have the ability to work independently from debug host,the boot scenarios of the multicore DSP was researched.A booting image which can be recognized by RBL was produced with multiple executable files of DSP and then burnt into non-volatile memory,booting from the peripheral of SPI was implemented.Improvements were made on the process of making booting image,which will simplify the software development on the primary core and make the boot process more flexible.In this thesis,a kind of hardware design based on the multicore DSP of infrared warning information processing system was realized.The scenarios of Multicore DSP booting from the peripheral of SPI was implemented and the process of making booting image was improved.An infrared dim small target detection algorithm was implemented on Multicore DSP based on SYS/BIOS and IPC and the operation of the algorithm was accelerated with parallel processing on Multicore the DSP,thus better real-time applicability of data processing on infrared warning information processing system was obtained.
