Due to mobile satellite networks having wide geographical coverage,low communication delay and other advantages received extensive attention,a lot of research to develop IP protocol networking technology and let it integrated with terrestrial IP networks.One of the challenges of converged network is because that satellite is constantly moving.In this paper,carried out in-depth study in satellite access frequent handover cause complex mobile management issues.The main contents are as follows:First of all,the paper briefly introduces the mobile management of the ground network and the mobile management of the satellite network,summarizes the application of the existing mobile IP technology in the satellite network,brings forward the research of this paper based on the analysis of the existing satellite network mobile management defects.Secondly,Introduction of ideas which Locator/Identifier Split to decoupled IP address identification and location identification in satellite network,research the satellite network architecture based on Locator/Identifier Split.In order to efficiently support mobile handover,a Locator/Identifier Split based Mobile network management mechanism is proposed for satellite network,which is named LISM-SN in this paper.The terminal's location is managed by distributed mapping service system and mapping cache on the satellite.Through the announcement and forwarding module,The mobile access module and the location update management module achieve the fast mobile management and reduce the loss of the package.In the handover management,the network layer is handover first,then the link is handover,The old link is still in communication when the network layer is handover to reduce the handover delay.Finally,the management overhead of LISM-SN is analyzed and it implemented on Linux,simulate on the CORE platform and set the parameters of the satellite network.Simulation results show that Locator/Identifier separation have an advantage over the LISP project,it not only can lower the handover latency and reduce the number of binding update overhead or sub-optimal routing,but also can improve system performance and scalability.
