As an important way to obtain information of wireless sensor network has been named one of the ten emerging technology have a profound impact on human life.The implementation of data and access to voice,video and text information,processing and communication function.How to carry out effective processing and transmission of multimedia data,perception is one of the main research directions of such multimedia sensor network.The image information transmitted in the multimedia sensor network has great redundancy and spatiotemporal correlation.How to effectively reduce the network information transmission by network compression to reduce the network information transmission is the key technology of the current multimedia wireless sensor network to be solved.This paper first studies correlation characteristics of visual information in wireless multimedia sensor networks,Aiming at the difference of the specific image algorithms,a general image spatial correlation model is proposed to describe the correlation features of the camera from the observation of visual information,based on information of sensing and deployment.This paper also studies the information entropy model and energy consumption model to estimate the amount of information and residual energy of sensor nodes.Finally,an energy-saving spatial correlation camera selection algorithm is further proposed based on correlation and energy consumption model.The algorithm select a group of related camera,to maximize the amount of information of selected camera as much as possible.Combining with the guarantee of each camera's energy that is not consumed practicaly,the data transmission and energy consumption of sensor nodes can be reduced effectively,and the lifetime of the whole network can be extended.Simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed energy saving spatial correlation sensor node selection algorithm.
