Reflection array meta-surfaces have important applications in wireless remote communication systems because it has the advantages of high gain,narrow beam width,simple structure and easy manufacture.In this thesis,a reflective beam focusing surface array structure and a beam deflecting surface array structure are proposed.The thesis can be summarized as the following aspects.In order to achieve the beam focusing and deflection,this thesis designed the basic unit structure of the reflection array.The thesis offered a method to compensate for phase by using stripline as delay line.The phase for compensation range can be achieved from 0 to 2?.In this thesis,six discrete reflection phases are designed which are 0 degree element,60 degree element,120 degree element,180 degree element,240 degree element and 300 degree element respectively.The thesis also designed the focusing surface arrays of working at three,five,seven and ten times wavelength respectively.In the simulation,it used the gaussian beam as feed source.The required phase is calculated after the focusing position is specified,and the corresponding state is found from the six phases,and then the simulation is established.And then observe the electric field of the simulation and the figure data of the simulation is consistent with the theoretical design.Finally,this thesis designed the structure of beam deflection surface array with the frequency 10 GHz.It realized the reflected beam deflection in scope from 0 to 30 degrees.The thesis designed when the plane wave vertical incidence of surface deflection of the array and the actual feed horn of incidence of surface deflection of the array respectively and it required to observe the simulation analysis of the far field distribution and the simulation results show that the far field directional diagram shows that the deflection beam point to the specified angle which is consistent with the theoretical design deflection angle.The thesis designed the deflection surface by using 12 units which have the 30 degrees phase differences between adjacent units and the simulations use the periodic boundary of the unit cell.The design achieved the main beam deflection of 14 degrees.Meanwhile,the thesis also designed the deflection surface by using 6 units which have the 60 degrees phase differences between adjacent units and the simulations also use the periodic boundary of the unit cell.The design achieved the main beam deflection of 29 degrees.The thesis has a brief description of the switching diode which is loaded on the delay line.It can achieve different phases by controlling the on state or the off state of the switching diode.In this thesis,the surface array with deflection of 20 degrees is selected to be manufactured to facilitate the test.The feed source adopts horn antenna.The feed horn can achieve good radiation in the range from 8 GHz to 13 GHz.Therefore it is suitable for working at X band.The thesis can obtain the result by testing the deflection of 20 degrees surface array,the beam deflection surface has achieved the deflection effect.
