Wireless in-band full-duplex(IBFD)enables wireless terminals to transmit and receive simultaneously in the same frequency band,which improves the system throughput performance.With the development of advanced self-interference cancellation technology,researchers have begun to study the upper layer techniques.This thesis studies the MAC layer control methods for IBFD celluar system and analyzes the system throughput performance.Firstly,the thesis briefly discusses the technology of wireless communication and specification of WLAN MAC by IEEE 802.11.For channel contention and other issues,the thesis describes the design of multiple channel probing and channel contention methods.This method,which considers both single-terminal detection and multi-terminal concurrent probing based on cellular networking,introduces a random back-off interactive control method to solve channel contention problem and proposes a new control processes – probing before sending.This solution is also suitable for wireless half-duplex communication.Secondly,a performance evaluation method of IBFD channel contention resolution is proposed in terms of the contention and idleness of uplink and downlink channels in communication.Besides,a multiple communication model with IBFD enabled wireless terminals based on cellular full-duplex series mode is proposed in order to study IBFD technology.IBFD and HD communication scenarios has also been classified and compared in terms of coverage.Finally,the thesis calculates the throughput of IBFD and HD system by numeric simulation,and analyzes the influence of IBFD on the throughput performance of wireless communication system.The numerical simulation considers some important factors,like data transmission between stations,and calculates the throughput gain of IBFD and HD to evaluate the performance of the communication systems.The results show that IBFD can improve the system throughput by 1.8 times compared with HD.
