With the popularization of the Internet and the increase in consumer demand,online shopping,a new type of consumption model,has developed rapidly.It makes the express logistics industry focusing on ordinary consumers a new bursting point for the logistics industry.The timeliness requirements of e-commerce for logistics are getting higher and higher,making the express logistics industry more and more demanding on the distribution,sorting and transfer efficiency of express mail.The logistics distribution center is the key node in the process of shipment logistics.It plays an important role in the entire logistics system.The location of the distribution center has a huge impact on logistics costs and transit time.A good distribution center location decision can cost the minimum cost and time,in the process of shipments' collecting,transferring,and distributing.First,this article elaborates the relevant theories of location selection of logistics distribution centers,and compares the advantages and disadvantages of different location models.Based on previous research,this paper deeply analyzes the logistics distribution process under the modern logistics operation rules.Then summarize the four characteristics of logistics distribution center location: logistics distribution service is touring distribution,the mutual influence of distribution center location and the distribution route planning,the multi-level characteristics of the logistics distribution center location,and the load balancing of the distribution centers at the same level.According to the characteristics of logistics distribution center location above,this paper designed a multi-level balanced location algorithm based on BIRCH clustering to solve logistics distribution center location.First,all demand points are divided into non-overlapping parts by using BIRCH algorithm with capacity limitation.Then using the gravity center method to solve single distribution center location within each distribution area.This algorithm provides a better solution for the location of the logistics distribution center.By comparing this algorithm with other clustering algorithms and traditional location selection algorithms,the two characteristics of this algorithm are verified: the balanced of the distribution service range,the multi-level distribution facilities location.Then summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of this algorithm.Finally,the paper introduces the practical application of the algorithm in Shenbei logistics public information platform second phase construction project.And proposes the directions of optimization and improvement of this algorithm.Then prospects more potential application scenarios of this algorithm.
