Image has long been regarded as a fundamental medium for humans to perceive the world.There is no dout that the way of transmission and process of image data is an important part of artificial intelligence technology.In the industrial production activities,people have different degrees of demands on the real-time,reliability and transmission distance of image t ransmission processing.Under this backgroud,the International Association of Automation Imaging proposed and developed a Gigabit Ethernet communication protocol based on Gigabit Ethernet interface,it is called Gig E Vision protocol.The Gig E protocol consists of two major protocols,GVSP and GVCP in which is based handshake confirmation mechanism lies in the interaction of these two kinds of packet.However,most of these productions had not implemented packet resend mechanism,as it will increas the cost of time for image data to users.This paper uses FPGA to design and implement the GVSP data stream protocol circuit,it can be divided into image acquisition and processing circuit,the image storage and retransmits controller circuit,the network packet an alysis circuit and the connection interface with GVCP protocol circuit totally four parts of circuits.This paper firstly analyze the functional requirements of each module,and the detailed logic circuit design is carried out according to the function o f the module.In order to implement the function of getting back the lost image packet,this paper designs and implements the interface circuit and its controller circuit based on GVSP data stream protocol which is aimed to improve the stability of image transmission.At the same time,by optimizing the circuit structure of the memory controller design,there are 32768 on-chip memory bits have been saved.In addition to the basical function of getting destination physical address,and offering PING service,this paper introduce dynamic host configure protocol to get local IP address,so that the image data can be send to any host in the local area network.After the GVCP packet was extracted,it will be analyzed by MCU system,the paper designed and implemented the interface circuit so as to communicate with the MCU system which will work for controlling the GVSP protocol.The designed FPGA circuit had been tested in the hardware environment of MT9P031,FPGA(EP4CE15F17C8),SDRAM(H57V2562GTR)and Ethernet por t chip(RTL8211)and soldier Ethernet tester,WIRESHARK capture software,QUARTUSII,SIGNALTAP software environment.
