As the e-commerce industry thrives,the purchase of clothes online has already become the main path of shopping for many people,especially for those who are young and hard-working.Many of those young people spend most of their time working,leaving themselves no time to go shopping.Therefore,shopping online became an outstanding option,with just couple clicks,people could easily purchase their own items.But things are not the same when it comes to the purchase of clothes and garment.People would encounter a problem that they need to put those clothes on to see whether the clothes fit or not.To solve that problem,researchers and companies have made their efforts.The goal is to create a virtual fitting room,people could just stand in front a certain equipment and see what they look like when they were wearing the clothes without putting them on.To achieve that,researchers have tried 2D and 3D ways.But none of these methods or plans can be called perfect.2D methods are usually efficient and light,they could perform well during transmission.When it comes to motion capture,real-time interaction and cloth simulation 2D methods cannot always meet the demand.Therefore,creation of a fitting system with satisfying virtual reality experience,strong practicability and convenience for online shopping is a very urgent problem.Based on this,this paper presents a real-time virtual fitting technology based on Kinect,which mainly includes the following parts:1.The Main Designing Idea for The Virtual Fitting RoomThis section will discuss the main designing idea for the entire virtual fitting system.Some basic knowledge on computer graphics would be introduced as well.2.Real-time 3D Cloth SimulationThis section will discuss how to build a 3D scene using API for Graphics.The improvement of cloth simulation would be introduced as well.3.Motion Capture Based on Kinect CameraThis section will discuss the theory of motion capture and the adjustment of the body shape.4.Real-time Output Based on Vertex ShaderFor any Virtual Fitting System,an output is always necessary.Here we using the idea of realtime rendering to build a pipeline to present the images and frames for the fitting.
