Roll to roll(R2R)process for flexible films has been one of the key technologies for manufacturing flexible displays,RFID tags,thin film sensors,organic solar cells and other flexible electronics.This technology can reduce the cost of flexible electronics significantly,and greatly expand their applications.The rectification control technology directly determines the lateral displacement stability of films and the positioning accuracy,which indirectly affects the electrical performance and appearance quality of the flexible electronics.The accuracy of the rectification control model and the superiority of the control algorithm directly determine rectifying results of flexible films.In this paper,the lateral rectification control technology in R2R-system is investigated,the influence of the parameters such as tension,velocity and loads on the rectifying is analyzed by modeling the rectifying of flexible films.A new control algorithm is proposed for different conditions of films feeding.The main research includes:Firstly,the mechanism of the influences of the tension and transport velocity on the deflection process of the guide roller is established.The influences are characterized by the traction coefficient.The calculation method of the traction coefficient is put forward,and then an experiment is carried out to verify the relationship among the tension,transport velocity and traction coefficient.And the influence of load variations is analyzed by modeling the actuator.Secondly,a dual-loop differential PID adaptive rectification control algorithm is proposed.The control algorithm is described in detail from the control flow,the difference compensation value and the velocity planning value calculation method.The final output of this algorithm is analyzed.Thirdly,the rectification mechanism and algorithm are verified by experiments based on the roll-to-roll platform.The control flow and differential calculation flow of the rectification algorithm are analyzed.The algorithm is simulated in the Simulink software.The obtained results show that the proposed algorithm has better accuracy and stability than the double loop PID control algorithm;and the algorithm can play a better role in suppressing noise.In conclusion,the mechanism model is established for the R2 R rectification of flexible films,and a double loop differential algorithm is proposed.Some research results have been tested and applied.
