Metal oxide-based semiconductor gas sensor has the advantages of small size,low cost,high sensitivity,good stability,high flexibility and good compatibility.It is widely used in environmental monitoring,medical and health,production control,criminal investigation and many other areas.At present,the metal oxide-based semiconductor gas sensors have mainly focused on n-type semiconductor oxide,while there are fewer researches on p-type semiconductor oxide gas sensors.In this article,we systematically studied the gas-sensing properties of the nano-structure of CuO,a typical p-type semiconductor oxide,and achieved the following research findings:(1)The two-dimensional plate-like nanostructures of copper oxide were successfully grown on the surface of a copper foil,and a gas sensor based on the nanostructured copper oxide gas-sensing material was made.The gas sensing test results proved that the gas sensor based on the two-dimensional plate-like nanostructures copper oxide has far better gas sensing performance than the ordinary copper oxide powder material.(2)The two-dimensional plate-like nanostructures of copper oxide is used as the cathode material of the lithium ion battery,the surface area of the two-dimensional plate-like nanostructures of copper oxide was enhanced by the intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions accompanying the charge-discharge cycle of this lithium-ion battery.The gas sensing test results showed that the gas sensing properties of the two-dimensional plate-like nanostructures of copper oxide have been improved than the counterpart without experiencing intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions.
