As the key component of the wireless communication system,the performance of the antenna determines the performance of the whole communication system.With the continuous development of communication technology,higher requirements for antenna gain,bandwidth,size and other performance are also put forward.The traditional microstrip antenna has a narrow band,low gain,and is affected by surface wave in the millimeter wave band.The substrate integrated cavity(SIC)antenna has the advantages of small size,wide bandwidth,simple processing,easy integration,and effective suppression of surface wave in millimeter wave band.Based on this situation,this paper studies the SIC antenna,and the specific work is as follows:1.The field distribution and radiation characteristics of high-order mode SIC are studied.Based on the analysis of the influence of parasitic patches on the field distribution and radiation characteristics of high-order mode SIC,a high gain linearly polarized antenna based on high-order mode SIC is proposed.By studying the influence of the parasitic patches on the performance of the antenna,it is proposed to design the parasitic patches as a bow-tie shape to further improve the impedance matching of the antenna.In addition,the radiation performance of the antenna is improved by using the SIC with the shape of the horn.2.A W band 4×4 high gain linearly polarized array antenna based on high-order mode SIC is designed.By studying the coupling structure between the upper and the lower SIW,a one-to-sixteen double-layer SIW power divider network was designed,which solves the problem of insufficient planar space in the array antenna.In order to facilitate the test of the antenna,a transfer structure between the SIW and the external metal waveguide is designed.3.A Ku band high gain circularly polarized antenna based on high-order mode SIC is proposed.By analyzing the distribution of time-varying currents on the parasitic patches and their effects on the field distribution of the high-order mode SIC,two bow-tie shaped parasitic patches with a 45 degree angle to the feed slot on the cavity surface are proposed to achieve the circular polarization performance of the antenna.By analyzing the effects of SIC size,patch size,patch spacing and other parameters on the performance of the antenna,a high gain circularly polarized antenna operating at Ku band is designed.
